Physics: Fully Funded STFC and Swansea University PHD Scholarship: Wilson Loops

PhD | 15 February 2023 | £17,668

The idea is to work in the interface between Matrix Models and Holography. Construct new backgrounds dual to minimally SUSY and non-SUSY field theories and study them in the context of Matrix Models. Calculate observables of these field theories both in the Matrix Model picture and in the holographic picture. The second part of the thesis work consist in starting the Lattice simulation of some of the field theories above mentioned. The work would finish by presenting the first examples of a three-pronged approach to non-perturbative phenomena in quantum field theory.
